There is a man in Nepal who can talk to birds. When he calls like a crow, hundreds of these black birds come. They listen to him when he tells them to be quiet, and they go away when he tells them to leave. He can imitate the calls of more than 200 birds. People call him “bird brother.” He goes to schools and talks about nature and birds. There are more than 800 types of birds in Nepal, and many of them are in danger. He wants to save them.(by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)

Notes:
crab:蟹
*********************
I was a volunteer at an environmental day camp for children on Saturday. The weather was beautiful. It was sunny, and there was hardly any wind. In the morning we went down to the river to look at crabs and other kinds of living creatures. The temperature got up to 18 degrees, and the crabs were moving around in the warm sun. We caught 5 different kinds. These crabs stay underground when it gets cold, so this was our last chance to see them this year. (by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)
