“Kei” is a restaurant in Paris. It is named after the owner and chef, Kobayashi Kei. He is in the news now because his restaurant has just gotten three stars from the Michelin guide book. That is the highest rating you can get for a restaurant. This is the first time that a Japanese chef in France has received three stars. You have to go to Paris to taste his food, but you should take a look at it on the Internet. Kobayashi said that he doesn’t need pictures on the walls of his restaurant because his dishes are colorful enough. He is right. They are works of art! (by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)

This is the time of year for Christmas songs, and many people are downloading them for the holidays. One of the most popular songs has been “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey. She came out with this song 25 years ago, but we can still hear it everywhere. In fact, my university tap dance club uses it as the final song in its Christmas performance every year. Surprisingly, the song never made it to number one on the U.S. music charts. Now, in December this year, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” finally made to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
