What are the most popular baby names of 2019? Of course they are different in different countries. In Japan, “Ren” is the most popular name for boys. The most popular name for girls uses the same two characters, but it can be pronounced in two ways: “Hinata” or “Himari.” In the U.S., “Sophia” is the most popular girls’ name again, and “Liam” went from number two last year to number one for boys this year. My son went to the local fish processing factory for his junior high school work experience program. He wanted to work as a shop assistant, and he chose the place because the name was Nishiya Shoten. ‘Shoten’ is a retail store in Japanese. He thought he would sell something at the store, but it turned to be a fish factory. He had to process salmon and take out the roe. He worked so hard that he was given a large amount of salmon roe when he left the factory. It filled a middle-sized cooking pot. It was a tough day for him, but we were very lucky to eat lots of salmon and roe. (by a reader)
