How many Disney theme parks are there in the world? Until today, there were five. The first Disneyland was built near Los Angeles in Southern California in 1955. Then they built Disney World in Orlando, Florida, in 1971. It is by far the biggest resort. Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disneyland outside the U.S.A. It opened in 1983. The first Disneyland in Europe was built near Paris in 1992. Then Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005. On June 16, Disney opened its newest resort in Shanghai, China. Today is the beginning of June. This month is known for weddings, and many women want to be June brides. Perhaps June is popular because of the beautiful flowers and the warm weather. Some say that it is because farmers were too busy in the spring to get married. In any case, it is the most popular month for weddings in the U.S. In Japan, June is not that popular. Actually, the most popular month for weddings in Japan is November.
