There is a park in the U.S. where you can look for diamonds. The state of Arkansas lets people keep the diamonds that they find at Crater of Diamonds State Park. One man has been digging for diamonds since February, but he recently took a job at a convenience store because it was hard to make ends meet. Then he found a 4.38 carat diamond. I was looking for a Korean movie called “Marathon,” so I went to my local DVD rental store. I had a pleasant surprise. When I found it and took it up to the counter, I found out that they were having a special on old DVDs. They only charged me 70 yen for one week. I couldn’t believe how cheap it was! Unfortunately, I forgot to take the DVD back by the return date. I had to pay an extra 210 yen. In the end, it wasn’t so cheap after all. (by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)
