The festival of Tabuleiros is held once every four years in Portugal. A long time ago, one monastery gave bread and wine to poor people. Nowadays, the women of Tomar celebrate that event by parading in the street wearing white clothes. They put a tray with 30 loaves of bread on their heads. Every woman smiles even though the tray weighs more than 20 kilograms. The district with the most beautiful tray gets a prize.
