When he was alive, Michael Jackson was never on the Forbes’ (business magazine) list of top earners, but last year he made the list. In fact, he made more money ($275 million) than every other person except Oprah Winfrey. His estate made money from the film This Is It, sales of his music, videos, and other things about him, and his stake in a collection of songs. Every time one of those songs is played or used, his estate gets some money.
