Do you know that people in Oymyakon, Siberia (the coldest village in the world), dry laundry in a unique way? They do it by freezing the laundry outside and then removing the ice from the clothes. In this way, the laundry dries in a moment. I live in Hirosaki, which is in the western part of Aomori. It is also cold, and the temperature sometimes goes down to minus 10 degrees. When I was walking to the university this morning, I realized that my runny nose froze. I thought that it might be worthwhile to try drying the laundry by freezing it in Hirosaki, too!
