In December last year, the upper Midwest in the US got a lot of snow -17 inches in less than 24 hours. It closed highways and delayed flights, but more than that, it caused the Metrodome roof to collapse. It was both amazing and shocking. The Metrodome is a huge indoor stadium where the Minnesota Vikings, a professional team, play football even when the temperature is -20 outside! The Metrodome also hosts events like car races and shows. It’s an iconic building, and it’s in a place where it snows all the time. That’s one reason why the roof collapse was surprising!
