rhyme 脚韻;韻を踏む

Most English songs use rhymes. A rhyme is when two words end with the same sound. We can find rhymes in the Beatles song “Yesterday” which has the following rhyming words: “yesterday,” “away,” “stay,” and “say.” You can find rhymes in “Poker Face,” one of Lady Gaga’s first hits. She rhymes “hot” with “got,” “be” with “me,” and “gun” with “fun.” We can rhyme “one” with “fun,” “two” with “shoe,” and “three” with “tree.” What can we rhyme with “seven”? “Heaven!” Try to find rhymes when you listen to English songs.
