Ireland has a famous beer called Guinness. The brewery also publishes the famous Guinness Book of Records. Now the company can put itself into its own book. In December 2007, a man drove into the Guinness brewery in Dublin, the capital in a truck and stole a trailer loaded with kegs of beer. There was enough beer on the truck for 40,000 pints (1 pint=600 ml). It is the biggest theft of beer in the history of Ireland. (by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)

Britain is a very old country with a long history of laws. The problem is that there are some very old, very strange laws. For example, according to British law, you can go to prison if you put a stamp upside down on an envelope. This is because British stamps have a picture of the Queen on them. If you put a stamp upside down, you are not showing the proper respect for the Queen. (by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)
