There is aat Coney Island in New York City every year on July 4. Until 2007, the champion was Kobayashi Takeru of Nagano. Even though he only weighs 58 kg, his personal record is 65 hot dogs in 10 minutes. In 2007, however, he was beaten by Joey Chestnut of California. Since then, Chestnut has won nine times, and this year he broke his own record of 70 hot dogs. He ate 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes! Although Chestnut is 185 cm tall and weighs 100 kgs, he is not fat.
