1 Would You Mind

❌ Misuse: Would you mind to close the window?

✅ Correction: Would you mind closing the window?

💡「Would you mind」の後は 動詞のing形 を使います。

❌ Misuse: She is too much beautiful.

✅ Correction: She is very beautiful.

💡「too much」は「多すぎる」の意味。良い意味の形容詞には使いません。

❌ Misuse: Please let me know if you have a question.

✅ Correction: Please let me know if you have any questions.

💡自然な英語では any questions と複数にします。

❌ Misuse: How do you think about this movie?

✅ Correction: What do you think about this movie?

💡英語では「How do you think」ではなく What do you think を使います。

❌ Misuse: I want you to be by my side forever. (casual)

✅ Correction: I want you to stay with me.

💡「by my side」は詩的／フォーマル。日常会話では stay with me が自然。

❌ Misuse: Can you borrow me your pen?

✅ Correction: Can you lend me your pen?

💡lend＝貸す、borrow＝借りる。逆にしないよう注意。

❌ Misuse: No problem. (in reply to “Thank you”)

✅ Correction: You're welcome.

💡フォーマルや丁寧な場面では You’re welcome を推奨。

❌ Misuse: I enjoyed to watch the movie.

✅ Correction: I enjoyed watching the movie.

💡enjoy + 動詞のing形 が基本です。

❌ Misuse: I want to take a rest for a while.

✅ Correction: I want to rest for a while.

💡「take a rest」は少し不自然。rest をそのまま使うのが自然です。
