The world’s oldest person passed away on April 1. Misao Okawa was born on March 5, 1898. She was the last living person who was born in the 19th century. Okawa had three children, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. When she died, she was 117. That’s a long time to live! While she was alive, there were four different Japanese emperors and 22 American presidents. What was the secret of her long life? She said that it was important to watch out for your health. She liked to eat and sleep. Her favorite food was mackerel sushi.(by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)
