Soccer fans don’t always have a good reputation. They are often loud. Some of them get angry and get into fights, especially after their team loses. They are messy and leave a lot of trash on the seats. The Japanese fans in Brazil were different. Even though their team had lost, the Samurai Blue fans calmly cleaned up their seats in the stadium. This was so surprising to Brazilians and other fans that someone took a picture of them cleaning and put it up on Twitter. These fans certainly are good ambassadors for their country. 2014年6月10日「モバイル英語学習」第249号(エッセイ ): Does Your Cell Phone Understand You?

Notes:
voice recognition 音声認識;

Voice recognition software is amazing. I can talk to my cell phone and it types exactly what I say as long as I speak slowly. I have an American accent, but I wonder if it can understand people with accents from other countries. There is a funny video that shows how accents can be a problem. Two men from Scotland with strong Scottish accents get on an elevator with voice recognition software. They need to say the floor number, but the elevator doesn’t understand them when they say 11.
