You can’t just be tall to be an NBA star. There have been more than a few very tall players who didn’t make the cut. Talent is important. So what’s all the excitement about Satnam Singh Bhamara? Well, India isn’t known for its basketball players, so that makes people excited. But it’s not just that. The 14-year-old is 7 feet tall. According to the director of a basketball academy, he has already developed some very good skills. He has a lot of potential, but he also has to keep working. By the way, he wears a size-22 basketball shoe. I bet he can’t find shoes in Japan! (by Prof. Carmella Lieske)

It is well known that males are weaker than females, and this is no truer than in the UK. In England and Wales, 42% of men die before their 75th birthday compared to 26% of women. Anywhere you look the evidence shows that men are less better off than women. Men are more likely to get cancer and die of it. Even in regards to happiness, women seem better off. So what is the reason for this? Well, one important reason is that men are less likely to go and get help when they need it. Men are more likely to drink and lead unhealthy lifestyles. So what is the answer? Well, according to evidence married men do live longer than unmarried men. (by Prof. Simon Smith)
